DOVIA's Vision
: To promote partnership, information, and educational opportunities between non-profit, government, and corporate entities dedicated to the promotion of volunteerism to make our community a better place.

Here’s what our members have to say about their affiliation with our organization…

“DOVIA serves as a beneficial forum for not only volunteer coordinators in the non-profit community, but also service-learning practitioners in higher education.  Whitworth University can attest to how DOVIA has enabled our Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement to learn more about ways to connect with the community, explore new avenues through which our students can provide strategic support to both current and new community partners, and to keep pace with current needs and opportunities (if our students are not providing relevant service, then they are simply serving their own interests, which is certainly not something we want to promote).  DOVIA is an intersection of the major stakeholders in service-learning partnerships and a connector of the non-profit, higher education and business communities, and for this we are grateful!”    Jacob Spaun

“I have a vision of the day when it becomes as common to ask someone…not only where they work, but where they volunteer, and expecting an answer every time.”     S. Cairy
